Maryellen Hanusa is our
exceptional Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her
Bachelor of Nursing in January of 1996 and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology
in June of 1996,

Summa cum laude. She
went on to achieve her Master of Science in Nursing in 1998 from the University
of Wisconsin.
Maryellen has practiced as a
Nurse Practitioner in a wide array of settings. She applied her skills in
a general internal medicine practice for six years, helping women and men in
both a non-urgent and urgent care setting. She has also specialized in
cardiovascular care as well as extensive experience in women's health and
wellness.
Maryellen is a member of several
professional associations. She is a member of the American Academy of
Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and Psi
Chi-National Honor Society in Psychology. She also received the USA Today
Best and Brightest College Students Award, the Chancellor Award for Excellence
and the Graduate Honors Award from the University of Wisconsin. Maryellen
is also co-author of the publication titled: Journal of Religious Gerontology:
Nourishing the Spirit in Long Term Care.
She brings a vast array of
knowledge and experience and we are very proud to have Maryellen on our team at
Bayside Gynecology.
